Mustache Mania

Can someone please explain to me how and why mustaches became "trendy"? What's the deal with everyone's fascination with these things?
It's so silly! Why the heck?

Ok, this one is actually pretty cool...

Very catchy and creative, but still,
must it be a mustache?

Ok, so actually this is really cute. The whole mustache thing might be growing on me...

A different kind of mustache...

And just as the whole "mustache thing" was starting to grow on me I find this:

Inspiring Family Photos

While rummaging through a suitcase filled with old photographs at my parents house this weekend I stumbled upon some vintage photos of my relatives from way back when. It was fascinating to see the wonderful fashion of the past, especially the 20's. I just love how dressed up everyone got!
Even the men were styling!

Make sure to look at the bubble skirt my Great Grandmother is wearing, so stylish.
Love all the different hats!

Lorena was a buyer for a department store so, of course, she was stylish from head to toe!

Check out those hats!

The Transition Period

I’ve been working so hard lately, constantly studying, writing, networking…But I wonder, will it all pay off? Will I really get what I want? Is it all worth it?

Lately, I feel like all my effort to achieve my dreams is coming at a cost. I have felt disconnected with the world, my friends, family, and now, even with my boyfriend.

Our lives are currently in a state of limbo. Chris is currently trying to start his career here, and it has been very difficult for him. He has had a lot of free time, which has most definitely driven us apart.

This transition period has been very tough for us. I’ve honestly just been waiting for him to find a job and a routine so that we can also find OUR own routine. I just want to be able to relate to him again and him to me.

So, the challenge for us will be to survive this period while we are doing such different things and come out of it together and strong…

Dear Bathtub, oh, how you taunt me

During another long and exhausting week, my mind and body dream of a nice, relaxing moment all to myself...

These bathes make me want to spend all day soaking in the tub, but, alas, I must finish the week of projects, exams, and essays.

So Just Live

"In Life we do things. Some we wish we had never done. Some we wish we could replay a million times in our heads. But they all make us who we are, and in the end they shape every detail about us. If we were to reverse any of them we wouldn't be the person we are. So just live. Make mistakes. Have wonderful memories. But never ever second guess who you are, where you have been, and most importantly, where it is you're going."
