Paislea's Fall Favorites
i do have to admit that i am so excited for fall. and now that we're a few weeks into september, the warm weather is dwindling down. some of my favorite fall things include: pumpkins, turning leaves and warm jackets. but i do have to admit that my most favorite part of fall are the huge, comfy, wool socks that i get to pull out of the back of my sock drawer.
at home in sweat pants and pajamas, or out on the town under knee high boots and dresses- i love love love cozy socks. i love how socks are becoming more "appropriate" to wear over tights and under boots so the little tops of them poke out. i love curling up on the couch with little shorts, a oversized sweater, a blanket, a cup of hot chocolate and huge wool socks to keep my toes warm!!
you can find some really cute socks to wear for fall with your boots at a few different locations. i have listed a few below!

Jen's Fall Favorites
Please welcome Jen from Life Spelled JEN to the guest post series:
hello all. happy wednesday. i'm jen, from life spelled jen, guest posting today for the lovely kendra. my blog is full of what inspires me and the things i love which are mostly fashion, food and fun. and thanks to kendra, today i am going to be sharing a bit of that with all of you.
this december i will be graduating with my mba and hopefully i will make it out of my last semester of graduate school alive because the fall trends are looking quite adorable. as a private school girl raised in pleated uniforms, the beautiful pleats that will be making an appearance this fall make me nostalgic for days when i was younger and considerably more care free. when you mix them in with the warm fall colors my heart just melts. i really cannot wait until fall is in full swing. you better believe i will be wearing booties, suede, cable knit sweater and pleats daily.
i am also very excited that this will be my second holiday season living on my own and since i have a bigger budget than last year i have already started decorating. i plan to have pumpkins and fall leaves [which i will have to buy in a store because down in miami leaves don't change color] with cinnamon and acorns decorating my apartment. i have put together a little inspiration board to keep me going while i try to survive a nine to five job, school and well life in general.
i hope you enjoyed a peek into what will be inspiring me this fall. make sure to stop by
life spelled jen and enjoy the rest of your week!
Thanks so much Jen for playing along! Be sure to check out her blog! It's filled with great fashion forward ideas and inspirations!

Colleen's Fall Favorites
Hi Dancing Readers! I am Colleen from Dashing Pearl, and the lovely Kendra asked me to post on what trends I am looking forward to this fall.
September is my FAVORITE month of all, so I was very excited to post on this.
I seem to gravitate towards autumn apparel the most all year round.
Something about scarves, peacoats, oversized handbags, and boots just sound perfect
to me. I am also a sucker for the colors that come out this time of year.
All the reds, yellows, greens, and oranges of the leaves
turning make my heart smile. I have always dreamt of a September wedding for this reason alone.
And comfort food seems at it's peak when the weather turns slightly
colder, like hot chocolate or grilled cheese and tomato soup.
I also might be heading to New York in mid October so for that,
I am dying to see the city and the park in all it's fall glory.

Guest Post from Lauren at Lauren's Thoughts
Please welcome Lauren from Lauren's Thoughts to the guest post series:
I absolutely cannot believe that it is September already. While I am still trying to hold onto the fringes of summer and starting to dread the deadness of winter, I am forcing myself to get excited and inspired by fall. Here are a few of my favorite things about fall:
1. Cider Mills. There's something so fun about heading up to a cider mill to pick apples or pumpkins. Soon enough we can also head through corn mazes and haunted houses. Just thinking about donuts and caramel apples and cider is enough to make me drool.
2. Sweaters. As much as I love bathing suits and shorts, it is nice to get back into cozy sweaters and scarves. Right now I'm obsessed with this sweater from American Eagle (so much that I bought two last time I was there!). Perfect for fall and according to Glamour, a touch of lace is a new fall 2011 trend!

Catching Dreams
Obsessing over....Dream Catchers.
They emanate a sense of whimsicality and magic that I love and give me a sense of carefree and protection. Not to mention they make a great accessory for your bedroom or your wardrobe.
If you need some protection from those nasty nightmares and don't have a dream catcher on hand, no worries, Lulu has a great tutorial that takes you step by step through making your own unique catcher: Lulu's Dream Catcher How to

Put a cork in it
After a wonderful weekend of wine tasting, gorging myself with delicious foods, and visiting with my fantastic family in Walla Walla, WA I can truly see why so many people love Walla Walla and all it has to offer. It may not be the biggest city, or the most well known, but what it lacks in status and size, it more than makes up for in wine, eats, treats, and good hearted, fun loving people (not to mention the beautiful landscapes of rolling hills, farmland, and vineyards.
My Dad and I recently road tripped east, just as a father/daughter duo, to get in some R&R time. It was a wonderful weekend, and needless to say, I came home with quite a few bottles of wine
(Thanks Dad!).
Now, home in Portland, and blissfully drinking away the contents of my newly amassed collection of wine, I am wondering what to do with the left over bottles and corks...
I've found a few creative ideas online.
Which do you like the best?
*Disclaimer: Ok, I know I've been using a lot of collages lately, but I'm a little obsessed. I found this awesome photo editing site called Picture2Life. It's the best free photo editor I've found, so naturally I'm excited.
