Hi Lovelies! This last weekend Taylor and I spent a wonderful weekend in the woods near Mt. Hood. As always, we had an amazing time full of adventure and fun. We stayed in the quintessential mountain log cabin (built in 1937, charming, rustic, and oh so comfy), drank coffee at the river's edge, strolled through the snow to a hidden waterfall, and did a whole lot of snuggling by the fire. We always have so much fun and this trip was no different. Here are our Instagram reels from the weekend. Be sure to check out Row 4 to see pics of our awesome cabin!

Weekend Beach Adventure.
Had a wonderful weekend at the beach with my guy. We spent the weekend lounging in the sand and exploring the many beaches of the Oregon coast. It felt amazing to escape from the city and slow down to appreciate the simple joys in life. Here are a few Instagram snapshots from the weekend:
The ocean really is a mesmerizing thing.

Just a note.
Found a lovely little note and flower attached to my windshield this morning. Pretty much made my day. Thanks babe :)Funny how the little things can mean so much.
P.S. The reference to 'a yellow weekend' just means a bright, fun, & adventure-filled weekend. A little inside joke for people that have taken the Insights Discovery personality profile
Happy Friday!

A day in the park
1. Curling up on the blanket
2. Playing on the swings
3. Grilling some grub
4. Running barefoot in the grass
5. Bumping sunglasses as you steal a kiss
6. Cloud gazing
7. Running through the sprinklers
8. Slowly creeping the other off the blanket
9. Trying not to embarrass yourself throwing
the frisbee (blame it on the wind)
10. Drinking wine from a red cup
If this hasn't convinced you, I don't know what will! Go out and enjoy the summer with the ones you love most!

Yikes
Eek, Sorry guys. I've totally neglected you this last month. There's been quite a few changes recently. I know, that's no excuse, but...
Last month was very busy- I officially cut ties with the boyfriend (now ex-boyfriend), moved into a new place, and got a wonderful new job as the Marketing Manager for a small start-up. It took awhile to get settled, but I'm starting to get back to a routine and will try not to neglect you any longer.
Just last week I got to go to Washington D.C. on my first big work trip! I was only there for two days, but I was able to sneak away and be a tourist for a bit! It was my first time on the east coast! So fun!

While I was there I even got to see Obama's motorcade drive by! He waved at us from his limo! So cool!

Alone.
Why do I have to do this to myself? Sitting here, waiting for you, checking my phone, facebook, anything, for a message from you. Wtf! It’s infuriating. You did this to me. You set me up. You lifted me higher than I’ve ever been, then (blam!) dropped me back down to earth so fast there was no time to even prepare for landing. And here I am, mopping around, making excuses, getting nothing done, and for what?! You knew this would happen, but, well, you did it anyway. Thanks a lot. Now I’m even more miserable than I was before.
Why do I care so much? God dammit! This sucks so bad. You suck. And, of course, it had to be you too. I’ve freakin dreamt about what it would be like to kiss you. I’ve gushed about you to the girls. And then, when all my dreams come true, I’m so blissfully happy, too stupid to see the fall that’s coming. I wonder how I would be right now if none of this had happened.
Would I still be this lonely? Probably, but I definitely wouldn’t be thinking about you every other minute of the day. I’d just be waiting for prince charming to come and sweep me off my feet.
Thing is, you were my prince charming. You were perfect. And maybe I only think that because we spent so little time together, but nonetheless, you could do no wrong. You were sweet, and said all the things a girl wanted to hear, all the things my past boyfriends had never said. You loved my weird quarks, and smiled at my lame jokes. We had so many inside jokes; people would’ve thought we’d been together for years.
But here I am, all alone. I’m just alone now.

This Weekend: The Sisters Rodeo & Mt.Hood
This weekend Chris and I got to visit some wonderful friends in beautiful Bend, Oregon.
We had so much fun and made some wonderful memories.
Here are some snapshots from the weekend!

This field was so beautiful. The colors were so vibrant and alive. There is nothing like the beauty of spring.<3
Next weekend should be another exciting one. My classmates, Chris and I are heading back to Bend for an official vacation full of adventure, relaxation, and lots of fun.

The Transition Period
I’ve been working so hard lately, constantly studying, writing, networking…But I wonder, will it all pay off? Will I really get what I want? Is it all worth it?
Lately, I feel like all my effort to achieve my dreams is coming at a cost. I have felt disconnected with the world, my friends, family, and now, even with my boyfriend.
Our lives are currently in a state of limbo. Chris is currently trying to start his career here, and it has been very difficult for him. He has had a lot of free time, which has most definitely driven us apart.
This transition period has been very tough for us. I’ve honestly just been waiting for him to find a job and a routine so that we can also find OUR own routine. I just want to be able to relate to him again and him to me.
So, the challenge for us will be to survive this period while we are doing such different things and come out of it together and strong…

April Showers bring, well, Home Depot Flowers
Messing around with my camera at the nursery:

The boyfriend and I have decided to attempt to grow a garden of goodies this season...
And by "boyfriend and I" I mean just him because I pretty much kill anything green...
I swear, I have a talent for killing plants, even the ones people say you have to really work hard to kill. I've even managed to kill three cacti.

Thursday's Thoughts
1. Limitless is a crazy awesome movie. Go see it. Seriously.
2. It's not fair that my kitty gets to have fuzzy little pillows on her hands.
3. I want to go to the Lilly fields in Woodburn. Sounds like an pretty place.
4. I live in a great community. Good to know my neighbors are looking out.
5. My dad is one of the sweetest guys I know and I'm so glad he is always there for me when I need him.
6. Kinco's is really expensive.
7. Law & Ethics class is really not as interesting as you might think.
8. Vintage cameras are way cool! (Just got a working Kodak Brownie from 1942 and it works!)
9. Cake flavored ice cream is the Shit!
10. I love my boyfriend. He puts up with me when others wouldn't dare.

Lovin Love
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
Remember to tell those you love
how much they mean to you.
I'm normally not one to celebrate silly contrived holidays like this one, but this time I think I'll make an exception. But only because this is a special Valentine's Day.
I finally have my babe here with me. And he's here to stay. It's been about 3 weeks since he moved all of his stuff in and I couldn't be happier, minus his choice in curtains... I love coming home to someone other than my cat (no offense Cricket) <3
Although it is quite an adjustment, I'm sure we've made the right choice.

I just wish we had a bigger bed...He's kinda tall and a total bed hog.
Love You Babe!

And So it Begins Anew
A New Year
Another year begins, yet I'm not so excited to see what this years holds in store for me, but rather I'm still waiting for next year. All I can think about is what I will be doing this time next year. Will all of this schooling I'm doing now pay off? Will I have a good job? Will I be on my way to success?
A New Apartment
I moved into a brand new apartment this weekend. It's current status: organized chaos. Boxes are everywhere and strategically organized piles cover the floor. But all is dandy because amidst the chaos is a new more exciting development....The Boyfriend is coming to join me! I can't wait!
A New Term
A not so new schedule. It's back to the grind, back to the library, and back to an endless stream of homework. I feel like I have already begun to neglect both my friends and my poor kitty.
But, alas, they keep saying it will all be worth it soon...

Cross your fingers...
